Visit from the Windsor -Essex Humane Society
Grade One students enjoyed a presentation by Mr. Steve from the Windsor Essex Humane Society this past Thursday, They learned how to keep safe around dogs. Many important rules were discussed when you come across a strange dog. Some examples are: If a dog is alone or hurt call 911, or if a dog is chasing you , dont run pretend you are a tree or log. Here are some pictures of students role playing what to do in this scenario.
School Energy hunt
Grade one students enjoyed a school energy hunt with Mrs. Jarvis. They explored the boiler room, electrical room, staff room and computer lab. They had fun finding all the items that needed energy to work or run. After the tour, we made a list of all the items we saw and what energy source is needed. For example; computers need electricity
